Forest Ecosystem Ecology
Investigating the impacts of climate change, forest insects and pathogens, and urbanization on forest ecosystems and biogeochemical processes
I am a forest ecologist and biogeochemist. I study how terrestrial ecosystems are impacted by disturbances such as climate change, forest insects and pathogens, and urbanization. Specifically, my research focuses on the impact of climate change across seasons on forest productivity, urbanization effects on nutrient cycles and ecological relationships, and the coverage of nature topics in U.S. national scientific assessments.
